The Best Strawberry Sauce
This homemade strawberry sauce recipe is perfect to make a quick dessert. It takes just 15 minutes to make and is great to top ice cream, yogurt and cake!

- 16 ounces strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
Put the strawberries and sugar in a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, stir it while it begins to cook.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. The sauce will be chunky. Cook for a few minutes longer if you would like a smoother sauce.
Remove the sauce from pan and allow to cool. Either serve warm or store in a container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
